District Name

Rhode Island’s statewide accountability system includes measures like test scores, graduation rates, and chronic absenteeism for students and teachers. This is how our state rates school performance. Using this information, RIDE assigns overall star ratings to public schools across the state. This star rating is a simple way to understand overall school success.

While RIDE does not assign star ratings to Local Education Agencies (LEAs, also known as districts), RIDE calculates the same individual accountability measures for LEAs as it does for schools. This allows LEA leaders and communities to understand performance at the LEA level and identify system-wide strengths and opportunities for improvement that impact multiple schools.

The Overview section below provides an overview of the LEA’s performance across all accountability measures, while the Measure Details section provides additional interactive dashboards showing performance on each individual measure.

More information on RIDE's Accountability system, including a technical manual, is available at http://www.ride.ri.gov/InformationAccountability/Accountability.aspx.
